Air
Daily floatplane services from Prince
Rupert are provided by Harbour
Air
Flights to Hartley Bay depart at noon
from Harbour Air’s base at
Seal Cove in Prince Rupert and take
approximately fifty minutes.
Flights to Prince Rupert depart Hartley
Bay at 1PM.
A round trip costs approximately $200.
Passengers are allowed to bring 40 lbs.
of freight for free. Additional freight
is $0.56 per pound.

Water
Boating visitors can access Hartley Bay
via Grenville Channel (the Inside Passage)
to/from Prince Rupert or via Douglas Channel
to/from Kitimat. The community is located
at the confluence of these two channels,
behind Promise Island (link to map).
The Hartley Bay Band Council has recently
negotiated to have a small ferry service
operate twice per week to and from Prince
Rupert. This trip takes approximately
three and a half hours. The ferry follows
a two week schedule. Week 1 sailings are
on Monday and Thursday, and week 2 sailings
are on Friday and Sunday. Contact the

on scheduling.
A one-way trip is $45/adult, $30/senior
(65+), and $25/children aged 5 to 12.
Children under 5 years are free.
